The partners of the Spirit of the Highlands project are pleased to announce a partnership with the Highland Place Partnership which will see £150,000 of Creative Scotland’s Place Partnership funding become the foundation for a commissioning scheme for local artists in its initial period.
The initiative, Spirit:360, will be inspired by stories gathered through the Spirit:Autobiography project. Working with the creative and cultural sector in the Highlands, Spirit:360 will ensure a wide geographic and thematic spread, rooted within the communities of the area. Finished work will be made available on a dedicated website and some of the works are expected to be developed further to become elements within Inverness Castle when it reopens.
